Pretending to drive the car is Winston's new favorite activity. It has replaced pulling all the books off the shelves and running down the street screaming so mommy will chase after you. He could spend hours in the front seat playing with all the buttons and nosing around. Winston has also figured out how to plug my blackberry into the charger. Winston's halloween costume did not agree with him. Our attempts to dress up Humpty Dumpty turned out to be an all out nuclear meltdown complete with flailing of limbs and rolling on the floor. SO we tried something different. Cowboy. We've been having lots of fun lately. Walks in the leaves, trips to the pumpkin patch, the petting zoo, the children's museum. We're always trying to keep up with this kid. Winston thinks the word for food is "cheese". You will hear him throughout the day, "cheese, cheese, cheese". He even wakes up in the morning saying "cheese". It just so happens cheese is his FAVORITE food. We buy two bricks

We spent the weekend in early October up at the cabin, just as the leaving were working their magic. Winston was in heaven exploring and throwing rocks in the river. It was so much fun to spend some time with just the three of us!

We spent a long weekend at the beach with Grandma and Grandpa Creer. It was heavenly. One of our friends was getting married in Newport Beach so we thought its was the perfect excuse for a little trip. Winston LOVED the sand and was such a good sport.

Winston is getting to be such a big boy. He loves being around older kids and just jumps right in with all the action. He think he is so big in fact that he gets himself into trouble. He pretty much needs constant supervision and is in to everything. As these pictures show, he took a tumble and cut his eye, almost needing stitches but luckily the Dr. fixed him up with a little glue instead. I

Dan and I have been trying to plan a trip to San Francisco for a couple of years now. Other things just keep popping up and getting in the way. We got up early this morning to brave the frigid temps to run the first annual East High 5k. I think Winston enjoyed it more than any of us since he got to be the one bundled up and people watching. And it reminded me there are few reasons worth getting up early for, and in my book, running is not one of them. Don't get me wrong, it was plenty of fun, but oh so cold!

Winston was excited to meet his newest little buddy yesterday, Benjamin Ball. Dan's sister Laura had him early that morning and he is cute as can be with a head full of dark dark hair. I spotted this at a thrift store a couple months back. She was sitting on the shelf screaming, "take me home, I belong to you!" So without objection I did just that. It's a pastime of many New Yorker's to go visit the balloons at the Museum of Natural History on the eve of the parade as all the preparations are being made for the big event. Of course Winston was asleep the whole time, but I got to see Buzz Lightyear, Spongebob and a host of others. I couldn't believe how big these were in real life. I think this 2D zoo fabric by Alexander Henry is adorable. It comes in a few different colors but the blue is my favorite. It sort of reminds of another pattern I love by Dwell Studio. Now to decide what to make.

One of my friends in SLC told me to check out Green Apple Photography. My computer was down all weekend and I kept reminding myself, green apple, green apple, green apple. I am sure glad I did. I got the sweetest little bluebird blanket by Pixie Lily for Winston as a shower gift. It is one of my very favorite little baby things we have. The cotton is so soft and I think the bluebirds are the most precious thing. Well of course when I discovered these matching pajamas were on sale, I just had to buy them.   Hopefully these will help give him sweet dreams.

When I was in Park City last month I stumbled into the most adorable children's boutique, Baby Nee Nee. Halloween is over. Boohoo. Oh well on to the season of holiday after holiday. But to give Halloween it's last bit of attention, here are some more pictures. On our way back from Hyde Park we drove along the Hudson River Parkway which basically just connects all the little antiquing towns along the Hudson River.
